About

My name is Taylor Jiyoon (they/she). I am a Queer Korean Adoptee, currently residing in Richmond, Virginia.

My offerings center on my work as a Sound & Reiki Master Level Practitioner, Singing Bowl Consultant & Teacher, and Wellness Studio Coordinator. I am grateful that my job enables me to connect with others seeking support on their wellness journeys.

My identity as a Korean Adoptee has greatly shaped my personal beliefs, traditions, and spiritual practice. I continue to study the Korean language, Korean shamanic and ancestral rites, and other cultural traditions of my heritage as a means to understand and connect with myself.

I am a lifelong musician, classically trained as a pianist and vocalist. Pursuing a music degree in university led me to research and study the meditative & healing applications of sound. I believe that the impact of music + sound on our bodies can support us in a multitude of ways.

Here are some of the educational experiences that led me to my current practice:

  • Bachelor of Music in Sound Recording Technology, Concentration in Piano

  • Usui Ryoho Reiki Master

  • Usui Ryoho Reiki 1 & 2

  • 20+ years of classical piano, voice, & music theory training

In pursuit of

self-understanding

I believe the path to self-understanding requires thoughtful reflection, mindful dialogue, and emotional awareness. None of us exist in a vacuum, so to understand the self requires us to understand the world and the people we share it with.

I strive to hold space for others that facilitates this pursuit. Whether it is through music & sound, energy work, or conversation, I hope I can bring you something supportive through my offerings.
